Crunchy chocolate clusters

 Have you had these before?

Well, I have and let me tell you they are very tasty! But as I was eating them I realized I could make them myself.

They aren’t much more than melted chocolate, raisins and corn flakes. That’s it, yummy things don’t get much easier than that. Since they are so easy to make, my 4.5 year old daughter could help with just about everything and that makes her feel very grown up!

In my pantry I had some leftover milk chocolate, semi sweet chocolate, white and peanut butter chips. I didn’t have enough of one type so, I had to combine them.

I would say go for whatever combo you have, or that sounds good to you. I used up all the milk chocolate chips I had, added a handful or so of the other flavors and popped the whole thing into the microwave.  The chips were melted at 50% power, a minute at a time until combined and smooth. We then added raisins and corn flakes to the melted chocolate. A ratio of 20% raisins and 80% cereal makes for a good mix. Of course, use whatever ratio sounds yummy to you.

You will want to add the ingredients slowly to make sure there is enough chocolate to cover everything. I like mine full of ‘stuff’ so I added as much cereal and raisins as I could, making sure there was still enough chocolate to cover everything. After a while of mixing it should look like this:

Using two spoons, drop the mixture onto a parchment covered baking sheet, add sprinkles or anything else you want to the top and place in the fridge to set. It takes about 30 mins

I told my daughter she could add as many sprinkles on one as she wanted. Well, this is how many she wanted, total over kill but I would expect nothing less!

They are not beautifully decorated, but they are very carefully decorated by a very sweet 4 year old, so they are beautiful to me.
